Five things every visitor asks us before setting foot in Manuel Antonio National Park — answered straight, with the number and the date we last checked it.

How much does the park entrance cost today, and what does it include?

Entrance is $18.08 per adult and $5.65 per child (roughly ages 2–12), verified against our internal pricing log on September 17, 2026. This fee is set by SINAC (Costa Rica’s national park service), not by us, and it covers park access only — not a guide, not transport, not parking. Rates are set by the park and can change without notice, so we confirm the current number whenever you book. Our Premium and VIP tours include this fee in the tour price; our Classic tours do not.

How do you buy tickets, and is there a daily cap?

Tickets are sold only through the official SINAC online system, released up to two months before your visit date and not earlier. The park caps how many people enter each day, and that cap sells out roughly 3–4 weeks ahead in high season (December–April) and 1–2 weeks ahead in green season. When you book a guided tour with us, we handle the entry booking as part of planning your date, so a “sold out” day on the public site doesn’t automatically mean you miss the park.

What happens if it rains?

Rain rarely cancels a visit. The park stays open through a shower, wildlife stays active, and our tours run in the morning — the driest part of the day most of the year. If a storm makes a specific date unworkable, message us as early as you can and we’ll work to reschedule rather than cancel outright.

Where do you park, and how much does it cost?

The legitimate paid lots near the park entrance charge roughly $4–$6 for the day with a real attendant on site. The scam to watch for: people in reflective vests who wave arriving cars into an “official” spot and then disappear once you’ve paid — they have no affiliation with the park or any lot. On our guided tours you’re dropped at a fixed meeting point, so parking isn’t something you have to negotiate at all.

How do you recognize a fake guide or unauthorized seller at the entrance?

The most common version at the gate is someone quoting a bundled “$150 for entrance and a guide” price on the spot. Real park entry is the fixed SINAC rate above, and a legitimate guide doesn’t solicit you at the gate.
