Know what to expect.
These terms apply to all tours and services booked with Wakoo Tours S.A. through www.costaricawakootours.com, wakootours.com, WhatsApp, or our partner platforms. By booking a tour you accept these terms.
Bookings and payment
A booking is confirmed once you receive our written confirmation (email or WhatsApp). Prices are per person in US dollars unless marked “total”. Costa Rica’s national park system requires the passport number and nationality of every guest to issue park entrance tickets; bookings that include the entrance cannot be completed without this information.
Cancellations and refunds
For standard bookings paid in full, free cancellation is available at least 72 hours before the tour start time, except during high season. Cancellations within 72 hours and no-shows are non-refundable. For tours taking place December 15 through January 15, cancellations are non-refundable. If we cancel a tour, you may choose a full refund or rescheduling at no cost.
Deposit bookings: seven-day cancellation policy
For tours reserved with a deposit, cancel at least 7 days (168 hours) before the scheduled tour start time to receive a refund of your deposit, except during high season. Deposits are non-refundable when cancellation is received less than 7 days before the tour, or in the event of a no-show. The seven-day rule replaces the standard 72-hour cancellation window for deposit bookings.
High season: December 15 through January 15, inclusive. Deposits for tours taking place during these dates are non-refundable regardless of how far in advance you cancel. If Wakoo Tours cancels the tour, the refund or rescheduling provisions below still apply.
Park rules and schedule
Manuel Antonio National Park is closed on Tuesdays and limits daily visitors; entry times are assigned and cannot be changed on the day of the tour. All guests must follow park regulations and the guide’s safety instructions. No food is allowed inside the park.
Weather
Tours run rain or shine—this is the rainforest, and light rain often means more active wildlife. Tours are only cancelled by us when conditions are unsafe.
Responsibility
Wakoo Tours operates with ICT-certified guides and licensed transport providers. You participate in outdoor activities at your own risk; please tell us in advance about any mobility limitations or medical conditions so we can recommend the right tour. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for your booking.
Photos
Photos and videos taken through our scope during your tour are delivered to you free of charge. We only use guest photos in our marketing if you give us permission.
